Binge-Worthy TV

Hey guys!

I recently got back into Netflix and binge-watching tv shows and have compiled a short list of my favourite shows to just watch in my room where I like don't leave for the day and surround myself with food and blankets and it is fabulous.

Riverdale

I started this show in March where there were only seven episodes on Netflix and I watched all seven in one night with zero regrets. Riverdale follows the lives of a group of teenagers in small-town America after one of their own goes missing.

It is gripping from the start and currently on episode ten, with a confirmed second season. It took me about ten minutes to fall in love with Archie (played by KJ Apa), who is nineteen in real life which makes me very happy.

Pretty Little Liars

So there's only eight episodes of PLL left until the end. If you've been following it since season one, the end will be coming with a sigh of relief for secrets being revealed once and for all but the end of an era is never fun.

PLL follows the five 'liars' and how their lives change after one friend, Alison, goes missing one summer. Secrets and schemes twist into a story-line for this show, after the girls start to receive threatening messages from '-A-, an unknown stalker out for revenge. The show is gripping and every episode leaves me wanting more.

Grab your ice cream and prepare for a night under the sheets, maybe the next day too as all seven seasons (with a new episode weekly) are on Netflix!

13 Reasons Why

Based on the novel by Jay Asher, 13 Reasons Why is a Netflix original series that follows the death of a student, Hannah Baker and the thirteen reasons that caused her to end her life.

I read the book a few summers ago and, for lack of a better word, loved it. It was heartbreaking from the outset but I felt like it captured the situation Hannah was in perfectly. While I did binge a few episodes in one day, they are an hour long and are very hard-hitting.

I would highly recommend this show to everyone but would caution people as well as it does contain sensitive material and has to be taken with a pinch of salt.

Hawaii Five-O

Currently in its seventh series, Hawaii Five-O is a reboot of the original series of the same name that began in the late 60's. I love crime shows and this one follows an elite task force team on the island of Hawaii.

Each episode follows the team tackling a new crime, whether it be cross-border or not. The story-line is gripping and my absolute favourite bromance, McGarrett and Danno, partners in crime fighting make the show so entertaining. I love the pairing and the show never ceases to make me laugh with the antics the cast has together.

Hawaii Five-O is on Sky1 every Sunday at 9pm and you can catch up on the series with Sky On Demand!

The Vampire Diaries

If you follow me on snapchat (ciarakxo) you'll know I finally finished this show last week, after putting off watching the finale for a month. I cried, numerous times and am not okay with the fact that the show is over after eight years.

TVD follows the life of Elena Gilbert and her friends in the months after her parents die, when she meets Stefan, a vampire and all of the trials and tribulations the group faces as they grow up in the supernatural town of Mystic Falls.

Besides having an extremely good looking cast (Michael Trevino hello!), the plot always thickens as the Salvatore brothers' enemies and those who want to harm Elena flock to the Virginia town.

Seasons 1-7 of The Vampire Diaries is available on Netflix!

Have you binged on any of these shows?
What did you think of them?

Penneys Summer Wishlist

Hey guys!

While Penneys (Primark to everyone outside of Ireland), still has to launch their High Summer Collection in stores, they do have some summery pieces in store at the moment that I cannot wait to wear this summer.

I have not been shopping in ages because my funds were severely low, but now that I have a job again, I can finally go shopping for new clothes!

White Lace Overlay Shorts

These shorts retail for €7 and would be perfect for any summer look, paired with a colourful top.
The waist is elasticated which is an added bonus.

These shorts are casual enough to wear on the beach and dressy enough to wear out for dinner paired with the right top and accessories.

Blush Double Layer Playsuit

I love playsuits so much, they suit my body really well and there's no risk of the bottom flying up in the breeze because they're shorts.

This blush playsuit, retailing for €16, is the perfect colour to pair with a summer tan, it is dark enough to compliment the tan and not too light as to wash you out!

Black Lace Cupped Bodysuit

Wearing lingerie bodysuits on a night out is a trend I have seen popping up all over the place recently. This bodysuit is gorgeous and the lace detailing is one of my favourite parts of the whole ensemble.

Pairing this, which retails for €13, with a cute skirt or shorts on a night out during the summer is the perfect way to add some flair to your wardrobe!

Paisley Longline Bikini Top

For those of us on the more voluptuous side, you'll know how difficult it is to find a bikini top with the right support!

Last year, I found that Penneys haltered bikini tops offered the most support for me and they were completely budget friendly. This gorgeous blue bikini top is only €5 and I love mismatching bikinis so would probably pair this top with a black high-waist bottom.

White Embroidered Slogan T-Shirt

Simple tees are a summer staple. They can be worn over a swimsuit at the beach or with shorts for the perfect, laid-back day look.

These cute tee retails for €6.

Blue White Black Strip Palazzo Trouser

Palazzo trousers are one of my favourite things to wear once it gets warm. They are some comfy and not at all constricted like jeans can be during the summer months.

The blue stripe in these trousers adds a much needed pop of colour to an otherwise monochrome pair of trousers. For €10, these palazzo trousers would be a great edition to your summer wardrobe.

Black Satin Floral Chemise

As weird as it sounds, I'm not one for wearing pants in bed once it starts getting warm. I love long shirts or a nice chemise that's nice and breezy and won't make me too warm in bed.

This chemise is flirty and flowly, the lace detail on the back is gorgeous and for €9, what's not to love?

Nude Lurex Cup Swimsuit

This is another fabulous swimsuit that would suit people with a bit more oomph up there. The halter is super flattering and the cups are an added bonus for when you actually wear it in the water, not just when sunbathing!

The belt also draws attention to the waist and can have a 'cinching' effect on the waist. This gorgeous one piece is available for €16.

Does your summer wishlist have any of these on it?
Have you seen anything else you thing I would love?

High-end Makeup Wishlist

Hey guys!

I am so glad this semester is almost over! I have had so many assignments due over the past few weeks and I have exams at the start of May. I cannot wait for summer!

As you guys know, I recently started working again and actually having a regular income has lead me to make new lists of high-end makeup that I would really love to add to my collection. My current wishlist isn't too long but I am working on less than minimum wage so I'll have to save if I want to buy all of it!

Glamglow Youthmud Tinglexfoliate Treatment Mask

I have heard so many great things about this mask and would really love to try it out! Lots of bloggers have raved about how the mask visibly makes your skin brighter in the days after using the mask and that spots do reduce in appearance as well.

The mask is pricey, retailing for €45 but I cannot wait to get my hands on it and see what all the fuss is about for myself.

The Glamglow Youthmud Tinglexfoliate Treatment Mask is available in Arnotts in-store and online.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette

Okay so one of my best friends has this palette and when we went to London together she kindly let me use it and I fell in love. I love the cranberry and rich red shades in the palette and the pigmentation is amazing.

I have a few ABH products already and cannot wait to add this palette to my collection. The shades are so versatile and you can get so many different eye looks out of this palette!

The Modern Renaissance palette is available from Beauty Bay for €53.90.

Nars Sheer Glow Foundation

I used to have dry skin and while sometimes, it still does get dry it is very much combination skin now. Nars Sheer Glow is supposedly great for people with oily to combination skin who don't want a matte finish as this foundation has a stain finish.

I like dewy looking foundation that isn't overpoweringly glowy and having the option to build-up the coverage is something I love as I like being able to go from light to medium coverage should I want to hide blemishes.

Nars Sheer Glow Foundation is available from Brown Thomas for €43.

Too Faced Hangover Primer

Debenhams recently became a stockist for Too Faced so until now, I haven't really tried any of their products except Le Grand Palais Christmas gift set that I got two years ago.

I have heard so many people rave about this primer, the fact that it hydrates your skin and be a radiance booster while helping your foundation to stay on all day is fabulous.

Too Faced Hangover Primer is available from Debenhams for €32.

Tarte Lights, Camera, Splashes Mascara

If you ask anyone what Tarte mascara you should try, you'll inevitably be told to try some variation of their Lights, Camera....collection. It is one of their best-selling products and the formula is supposed to be lengthening, conditioning and anti-clump.

With Irish weather, I would be silly not to get the waterproof version of the mascara and I cannot wait to try it out for myself in the future!

Lights, Camera, Splashes is available from Tarte for €22.

Benefit Instant Comeback Facial Serum

I had a mini version of this serum a few months ago and it was fabulous. I used it as part of my nighttime routine and used a good amount on my face every night, and my skin was so hydrated in the morning which I loved.

I also found my makeup easier to apply because my skin felt smoother and my foundation went on like a dream.

Instant Comeback is available from Benefit Boutiques and concessions nationwide and online for €49.50.

Huda Beauty Audrey Lashes

I couldn't tell you how many times I've been on shophudabeauty.com and have a full basket ready to buy and then I see the price tag and my heart drops a little. Now that I actually have a regular income, I cannot wait to try out some of the products.

The Audrey lashes, designed to reflect Audrey Hepburn's timeless elegance, are absolutely stunning. The lashes are versatile enough that you could wear them during the day or at night when you're going for a more dramatic look.

The Audrey Lashes are available from the website for roughly €37 but are reusable.

Huda Beauty Trophy Wife Liquid Lipstick

Another Huda Beauty product that I would love to have in my collection is Trophy Wife, a liquid matte. The shade is describer as rose wood and I think it is a deep pink with grey undertones.

I love Colourpop's liquid mattes and have heard so many fab things about these liquid mattes that I just need one in my life!

Liquid Mattes are available from the website for roughly €19.

Makeup Forever Pink Multicoloured Glitter

I love Makeup Forever products and who doesn't love glitter. Glitter eye looks are one of my favourite looks to wear on a night out. The glitter is safe to use on the skin, including lips and would be the perfect addition to any makeup bag headed to a festival this summer!

I cannot wait for this glitter to get back in stock so I can add it to my collection!

Makeup Forever glitters are available in-store and online for €15.

Lancome La Rose à Poudrer Highlighter

If you have not seen this highlighter all over instagram then where have you been? This delicate looking rose has an iridescent sheen when applied and the presentation is just so beautiful.

This limited edition gem is available from the Lancome website for €50.

Mad Beauty Review

Hey guys!

Wow it's been ages. I have been so busy over the past month, everything has been so hectic! I started my new job (Can I call it new if I worked there before the leaving?), had quite a few midterms in college and then over the break, I had assignments to do as well as essentially working full time!

Mad Beauty, a company based in the UK kindly sent me some products to review a few weeks ago and I have been loving the goodies they sent me! Some of the products they sent me have become handbag staples and I don't know what I was doing without them.

Hand Sanitizers

These cute little sanitizers aren't much thicker than a card holder and are so easy to fit in your bag. I use mine all the time, in work because I handle money and during the day after using the bus. My grape one (which is not pictured here) is almost gone and I cannot wait to try another scent afterwards!

The Hand Sanitizers retail in 3 packs and are available for roughly €3.50.

Disney Makeup Bag

This retro makeup bag is perfect for weekends away because it's big enough to fit the essentials without taking up too much room in your bag!

The vintage Mickey Mouse graphics are so cute as well and I love how many products I can actually fit in this bag.

This vintage makeup bag is available for roughly €9.40.

Mini Nail Files

I also got two mini matchbook nail files and they have become staples in my handbag as well! They are so handy to have in your bag if your nail just breaks or you need to even them out throughout the day. Not much bigger than an actual matchbook, you won't even know the extra space being taken up in your bag.

These nail files are so cute and are available for roughly €1.15!

Alice in Wonderland Pamper Me Duo

Another part of their Disney collection is this super cute Alice in Wonderland themed set that has a bubble bath and body lotion. I use the body lotion everyday after my shower and I love the scent (ginger and pear). The lotion moisturises my skin and leaves the scent lingering all day. I haven't used the bubble bath yet but the scent is the same so I cannot wait to use it next time I have a bath!

The Alice in Wonderland duo is available for roughly €9.40.

The Ultimate Handy Set

The final little gift Mad Beauty sent me was the ultimate handy set. This adorable little pouch has hand cream, wet wipes, hand sanitizer and a packet of tissues. The hand cream and sanitizer are coconut scented and I'm saving them for a trip away because I think the whole pouch will come in handy!

The Ultimate Handy Set is available for roughly €10.60.

Thanks so much to Mad Beauty for sending these products to try out!
