Paddys Day Makeup

It's Paddy's Day tomorrow! The day when everyone thinks they're Irish!

Whether you're Irish or not, Paddy's Day is a great day out and wearing green is essential. Here's my tutorial on how to achieve the perfect Paddy's Day eye makeup.

Products Used:

* Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation €9.99
* Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer €5.49
* Sleek Face Form Contour Kit €12.99
* Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder €5.99
* MUA Mosaic Blusher (English Rose) €3.40
* MAC Mineralize Skinfinish (Lightscapade) €30
* Benefit Hoola €34
* MUA Pro-base Eye Primer €3.38
* Rimmel Lash Accelerator Endless Mascara €9.99
* Wet N' Wild Brow Kit €3.99
*BH Cosmetics 120 Eyeshadow Palette (3rd Edition) €14.25

I applied my base, contouring, blusher, highlighter and bronzer as normal and set it with the stay matte powder.

For my eyes, I applied the MUA primer first and then used the top layer of the BH Cosmetics Palette.

I used a lime green shade (the white 'x') all over my lid and blended a darker shade (the black 'x') into my crease and my outer lid.

If you have green glitter, take some vaseline and dab a small amount onto your outer lid and taking an eyeshadow brush, add some glitter to your outer lid.

What do you usually do on Paddy's Day?
Let me know in the comments below!

Have a great day whatever you're doing,
Ciara,
xoxo.

Going Out Makeup

I'm miss midterm already. When can I go out again?
Here's one of my favourite looks from going out over midterm!

Products Used:
* Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation €9.99
* Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer €5.49
* Sleek Face Form Contour Kit €12.99
* Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder €5.99
* MUA Mosaic Blusher (English Rose) €3.40
* MAC Mineralize Skinfinish (Lightscapade) €30
* Benefit Hoola €34
* MUA Pro-base Eye Primer €3.38
* Maybelline Expression Color Tattoo 24hr Eyeshadow (Eternal Silver) €7.49
* Catrice Made To Stay Eyeshadow (070 Mauvie Star) €3.99
L'OrĂ©al Paris Super Liner €9.99
* Rimmel Lash Accelerator Endless Mascara €9.99
* Wet N' Wild Brow Kit €3.99
* Rimmel 1000 Kisses Lipliner (050 Tiramisu) €4.49
* MAC Lipstick (Kinda Sexy) €19.50

I used the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge (€5.89) to blend my foundation and concealer. I love the sponge so much, it is just amazing!

For my eyes, I used the Maybelline Color Tattoo all over my lid and blended the Catrice Eyeshadow into the crease and on my outer lid. I also used the MAC Highlighter below my brow bone and in the corner of my eye.

If you find using liquid eyeliner awkward, you can use some sellotape or a piece of paper along the line you wish to create with your eyeliner. This is so much easier to do if you are just starting out using liquid eyeliner!

I decided to do a half-up ponytail and curl all of it. People have asked before if I wear extensions and I do not, I have been growing my hair out for a year and a half now and I plan to cut during the summer.

What makeup do you use on a night out?
Let me know in the comments below.

I will be in England for the next ten days so I do not know how frequent my posts will be (I hope to stick to two posts a week but I do not know if I will be able to!)

Ciara,
xoxo.

Winter Lip Makeup Tutorial

As a lot of you already know, I love dark berry colours! They are perfect for winter and I am in love with maroon at the moment!

I finally got my hands on Barry M's Ultra Moisturising Lip Paint in the shade 160 (Black Cherry) and I have decided to do a tutorial on winter lips using my favourite lipstick ever.

For this look I started with my normal base. I used Rimmel London Lasting Finish foundation in the shade 100 Ivory. The amazing Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in Cool Medium. The W7 cream contour kit and the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in 001 Transparent

For my brows I used the Wet n' Wild Ultimate Brow Kit. For my eyes I used the Makeup Revolution  Awesome Metals Foil Finish in Rose Gold.

On the outer corner of my lids I used the MUA eyeshadow in Bronze

And Max Factor Wild Shadow Pots in 55 Feral Brown

To finish my eyes I used L'Oreal Paris Super Liner in Black Crystals and No7 Stay Perfect Mascara.

For my lips, I lined them using the lipstick itself. Using my Blank Canvas Cosmetics brush in No.12,
I ran it over the lipstick a few times and lined my lips using the brush - I recommend this so you won't overdraw your lips on one side and have to start over!

After my lips were lined, I went ahead and applied the lipstick. Although it's not as dark as I expected, the lipstick is such a lovely colour!

 The lipstick itself is very moisturising so you won't have to use lip balm beforehand (you can if you want to but it is not necessary!).

 Here's the finished look! Perfect for a day or night look! If the eyes are too intense for your day look, you can just do the eyeliner!

I hope you have fun with this tutorial and let me know what you think of Barry M's lipsticks down below!
Do you have any winter lip colours you think I should try out?

Ciara,

xoxo.

P.S. I have gotten some questions about my hair. I don't use extensions at all! I have been growing my hair out for a year and love how long it has gotten!

Zombie Inspired Halloween Makeup

Still in my 1989 daze.....
                                        But I decided to post my Halloween tutorial anyway!
I love Halloween so much! Getting to use makeup I can't use on an everyday basis is so fun :)

This year I have decided to be a zombie. The makeup I am doing for this look is so easy to follow and I'm sure you guys will have fun with it too!
Here's a little preview of the finished look:

 Everything I used for this look I already had in my makeup collection so you shouldn't have to go out and buy anything new..... you'll just have to do a bit of brush scrubbing when you are finished!

To start off I moisturised my skin so the makeup would not dry out my skin too much. After that, I used my foundation and put on a normal base coat,  followed by powder. After I had my base coat on, I got a white eyeshadow and dusted it around my face using a blender brush. This helped my skin look paler than it normally would be.

To get the 'bruised' or 'rotting' spots on my face, I got an old bronzer brush and some black eyeshadow. All you have to do then is dab the eyeshadow onto the corners of your forehead until you get the colour desired. For the cheekbones, you apply the eyeshadow as if it was bronzer and drag the end of the line down your face.

After the bruises are done, move onto the eyes. For this you will need red and black eyeshadow, black liquid eyeliner and eyeshadow brushes. Apply the black under your eye and continue onto your lid. Messily blend the black all over your eyelid and use a blending brush to blend the eyeshadow further. Just under your brow bone and under your eye, apply some red eyeshadow using a different brush. Blend the two colours together and your eyes are done!

To get the black blood dripping from your eyes, you will need a black liquid eyeliner and a steady hand! Draw a line from your tear duct to the edge of your lid for both eyes (just like winged eyeliner but without the wing!). On the corner of each eyelid, extend the liner down your face in a jagged line. Draw random lines coming out of each line until you are satisfied with the look. On one of your eyes, do the same as the outside but draw this one from your tear duct.

For the lips, line them with the same eyeliner and extend the bottom lip up slightly. On the extended line, draw two parallel lines downwards to make them look like stitches. After your lips are lined, get a red lipstick (or any other colour you think suits) and do your lips. I decided to dab more eyeliner on my lips and blend it in using an old concealer brush at the end - you do not have to do this if you don't want to but I love the look of it!

This look is so simple to achieve and I loved doing it.
What is everyone else dressing up as for Halloween?
Do you think you'll be a zombie?
