June Hits and Misses

Happy Independence Day to everyone in America! Fourth of July also means the start of a new month, I used so many new products and tried new things in June. Some of them I loved, others not so much.

I have listened to this album all month. Probably because of the concert last Monday but you have no idea how much I love this album! It is definitely my favourite album of the summer, probably even the year! Wildest Dreams is fab. The tour is fantastic and Tay is perfection.

I have tried to cut back on fizzy drinks this month because they're not great for my skin and they definitely do more harm than good! V Water is amazing! I love the pomegranate and blueberry flavour, it is much better than any fizzy drink! The pomegranate and blueberry V Water has vitamin C, E, Se and Zn in it which is good for you as well.

I've blogged about this lipstick before. I am in love with Barry M's Palest Lavender lipstick. It is the perfect pastel shade for summer and I have been putting it on whenever I get the chance!

Inglot's makeup base is great for keeping my makeup on throughout the day, even during the mini heatwave we've had!

Seen as it's summer, I decided to dip-dye my hair before I get it cut at the end of summer. I used Bleach London's bleaching kit before I tried out a few of their temporary colours. Washed Up Mermaid is the first I have tried and I love it! It has almost washed out now but it was a really cool turquoise colour for the past week!

I got this as a present and it is at least two shades darker than me!  Maybelline Fit Me Anti-Shine Stick (Shade 130) I use it to contour and I love how easy it is to blend!

I have finally found a foundation that matches my skin tone! When I was in Inglot, I asked them to match a foundation to my skin tone, one that is suitable for dry skin! I probably got the palest foundation you could - AMC Cream Foundation in LW 100.

I am 100% addicted to The Vampire Diaries. It was so good. I have binged on the show in the last few days and I cannot wait for season 7! If you haven't watched it yet, you need to! You have no idea what you're missing!

I had one major miss this month. After seeing so many bloggers and YouTubers rave about Twinings Salted Caramel Green Tea, I just had to try it for myself! I don't like it at all. I don't know whether it was a bad batch I bought or whatever but I couldn't taste the caramel at all. I could definitely smell it but I couldn't taste it, even a tiny bit. So Twinings Salted Caramel Green Tea was definitely my miss on the month!

What were your favourite products of the month?
Let me know in the comments below!

Sparkle of Pink turns 1 this month, keep your eyes peeled for a little surprise!

Ciara,

1989 World Tour Dublin

I have been so busy with family and work over the past week and a half that I didn't have a chance to post anything.

Last night I got to see my idol, Taylor Swift as part of the 1989 World Tour and it was the best night ever. If you didn't see my post back in October, after the release of 1989 (Here it is!), then you won't know I'm a swiftie. I love Taylor. She is just fab and her music is amazing.

I had standing tickets for the show so I got to the arena at around 1pm with my sister. There were already about 50 people in front of us in the queue! We sat down for a few hours and made friends with the girls beside us in the line. Doors were supposed to be 6:30pm but they opened them at 6:45pm because they were running late.

When the doors opened everyone literally ran in. I had planned to go to the Taylor Nation Booth and my sister went straight to standing. I couldn't find the booth so I just went to my sister WHO WAS SECOND ROW.

After almost six hours of queuing and months of waiting, I was second row at my idol's concert. When Vance Joy came on, the crowd pushed forward and it was horrendous. I barely had any room and the girl behind me kept trying to get in front of me by elbowing me out of the way - not cool girl, not cool.

When Taylor came out, it was amazing. Everyone was screaming and she just stood there after Welcome To New York taking in the crowd.

I danced all night long and sang every lyric. It was just amazing. Taylor is so good live and the whole show is just a phenomenal production. I cannot even begin to imagine the amount of work she put into planning the tour!

Bad Blood is one of my favourite songs off the album and I waved my signs like crazy during the song! When Taylor walked down the catwalk she stared at them for a couple seconds and myself and the girl beside me went crazy because she noticed us !

It was such a good show and by the time I got home, my ears were ringing, my feet was sore, my voice was croaky and I was ready to fall into bed.

Definitely one of the best nights ever. I cannot wait until Taylor comes back again.

Her dancers are amazing as well. They're pretty good looking too (especially Christian).

Have you ever been to see Taylor in concert?
Were you there last night?

1989

Okay so.....

Today's post was going to be a Halloween makeup tutorial but I just bought 1989, Taylor Swift's new album so I got sidetracked...
Instead of a Halloween makeup tutorial, I'm gonna do a post on Taylor's new album because it is flawless.

I had to trek all over Cork just to find the album - every single store I went to was sold out of the deluxe version (AHHHHHHHHHHH NO!) so I eventually settled for the normal version because I couldn't wait any longer!
The CD case comes in a box which has the exact same cover as the case. It's a polaroid of Taylor (well half of her face anyway)

Every album comes with thirteen polaroid pictures of Taylor with  lyrics printed on the bottom. There's a total of sixty-four polaroids out there and you can get 1-13, 14-26 and so on. I got #14 to #26 and mine range from black and white to blurred. I think the polaroids are a really nice touch because it makes the album seem a lot more personal.
There is thirteen tracks on the album. Just in case you are not a Taylor Swift fan, thirteen is her lucky number, hence the repetitive thirteens.
Here is the tracklist:
1. Welcome to New York
2. Blank Space
3. Style
4. Out Of The Woods
5. All You Had To Do Was Stay
6. Shake It Off
7. I Wish You Would
8. Bad Blood
9. Wildest Dreams
10. How You Get The Girl
11. This Love
12. I Know Places
13. Clean

I instantly fell in love with Style. It is an upbeat song written by Taylor, Max Martin, Shellback and Ali Payami. I won't even try do a track-by-track review because I would be here all night and it would go on for pages.

Basically, in this album, Taylor waved goodbye to her country roots and officially broke into pop music. Each track tells a new story with a different beat. I have had the CD for three hours and it has been on repeat since I got into the car. I'm still listening to it now, all cozy in my bed because it's raining outside :(

Taylor, your fifth studio album will definitely be a hit. The music is easy to dance to and the lyrics are so catchy! The only thing that would make this music even better IS TO HEAR IT LIVE. PLEASE BRING THE TOUR TO IRELAND THIS TIME!

Love's a game, wanna play?

Ciara.
