My Feel Good Playlist

Hey guys!

So with college almost back, I decided I'd share my feel good playlist to help any other students through the stressful weeks of the second semester.

I have a separate study playlist (If I listened to this while studying, I'd get nothing done!), so if you'd like that one next, let me know!

My playlist on YouTube has 30 songs but I'm just going to share my top ten here! If you want to check out that playlist, click here!

10. Signed, Sealed, Delivered, I'm Yours

This song is such a jam. I've yet to meet one person that hasn't heard of it because let's be honest. it's a classic.

I'm not usually one for soul music but when this song comes on, I can't help but smile and sing alone!

If you want to listen to it, be sure to check out my playlist on YouTube.

9. Geronimo

I haven't heard any other Sheppard songs but I did listen to this on repeat coming up to my mocks in 6th year. For some reason, the chorus just helped me remember definitions for physics... don't ask me why!

The chorus is just so catchy and you will literally find yourself singing along to this song without realising it.

8. Girls Like You

So this song is more recent than others on my playlist but I learnt how to play it on guitar a few months ago and it's just so easy to listen to.

This song is just so easy to listen to and I always find myself moving along with the beat after the first chorus.

7. Any Way You Want It

Okay so not the original, but before y'all shoot me... it has context! Rock of Ages is one of my favourite movies and the way Mary J.Blige sings it is just so fab.

Not going to lie, this is my ultimate shower jam. Also, if you like 80's music, this movie is a must-see!

6. I'll Make It Up To You

I love Imagine Dragons and this has to be my favourite song on Evolve purely because it has such an 80's vibe to it.

It's also a pretty positive song compared to song of their other stuff and the chorus is just so catchy!

5. Rumors

I'm not the biggest electric pop fan but I love Sofia Carson so I decided to give this song a listen and it's been on every playlist of mine since the summer!

The bass-infused song is such an easy listen and the lyrics just speak to me. I love how empowering this song is for women.

4. Get Over Yourself

I think we've all had that ex who thinks we're still into them and everything we do is just to make them jealous and this song captures the situation so well.

I love a good country song and couldn't help but relate to this song when I heard it for the first time. It's also Kelsea Ballerini, this girl is incredibly talented!

3. Rewrite the Stars Reimagined

The Greatest Showman was my favourite movie of 2018 and I love the reimagined album. In my opinion, this song is better than the original and the harmonies in this are just something else!

If you haven't dramatically lip-synced to this in your car... you haven't lived! The song itself is so beautiful and the music video that goes along with this version of the song is fantastic.

2. Everybody's Got Somebody But Me

Image result for everybody's got somebody but me

This song is very happy go lucky and beyond easy to listen to! The upbeat track is the complete opposite to the lyrics because he's singing about being hung-up on an ex but everything is so catchy that I can't help but sing along when it comes on my playlist.

I hope I'm not the only one who mistook this for a Michael Buble song the first time I heard it!

1. This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things

Rounding off this playlist the same way Taylor wrapped up the best tour I have ever been to. This song is such a mood.

Taylor let the lyrics do the talking in this song when it comes to her conflict with Kanye and I just love everything about this song. The lyrics, the instruments used, the production on stage. It's a hit in my books.

You can check out the full Feel Good Playlist here.

Hopefully these songs can get you through essays and midterms this semester!

Let me know in the comments below if you'd like my study playlist next!

The Vamps World Tour

If you follow me on social media, you'll know that I couldn't post on Wednesday because I was sick during the week and I went to see the Vamps on Wednesday night! The Vamps are a English band that started out on YouTube (I came across them when my sister showed me their cover of Taylor Swift's 22 a little over two years ago). Their debut album 'Meet The Vamps' came out last year and the world tour started in January this year!

So my sister and I met up with my friends Niamh and Ellen before the concert and ended up standing in the third row!

The Tide and Union J were the support acts. The Tide are an American band that The Vamps signed to their record label earlier this year. I really liked their songs and they had a great stage presence !

Union J were on the X Factor a few years ago and have released two albums since then. I'm still heartbroken over Louis choosing Union J over District 3 but their songs are good !

The Vamps were so good ! I was on the right side of the stage so Connor was there most of the time, Brad and James came over to the right occasionally. The setlist was so good! 'Girls on TV' was definitely my favourite song.

#OnStageWithTheVamps is such a cool thing to have on tour! Every night they bring someone up on stage and they get to meet the Vamps on stage and ask them a question. I would've loved to have gone up but I was happy for the girl that got to go up!

I also loved the mashup they had towards the start of the set because they sang some of 'Shake It Off' because Taylor is fab and they killed it!

Fun fact: The Vamps supported Taylor in her sold-out London shows last year as part of the Red Tour.

Their setlist was:

1. Wild Heart.
2. Hurricane.
3. Somebody To You.
4. Uptown Funk/ Seven Nation Army/ Shake It Off/ We Can't Stop Mashup.
5. Last Night.
6. Move My Way.
7. In Too Deep (Sum 41 Cover).
8. Another World.
9. Lovestruck.
10. Girls On TV.
11. Oh Cecilia.
12. Risk It All.
13. Can We Dance.

I totally think Connor should make it his picture on Twitter !

The concert was so good and now I really want to see them in the Marquee in Cork during the summer !

It's safe to say the post-concert depression has set in.....

SophieLouTallant  posted some amazing videos of the concert on YouTube. go check them out!
Have you been to see the Vamps?
What was your favourite song?

1989

Okay so.....

Today's post was going to be a Halloween makeup tutorial but I just bought 1989, Taylor Swift's new album so I got sidetracked...
Instead of a Halloween makeup tutorial, I'm gonna do a post on Taylor's new album because it is flawless.

I had to trek all over Cork just to find the album - every single store I went to was sold out of the deluxe version (AHHHHHHHHHHH NO!) so I eventually settled for the normal version because I couldn't wait any longer!
The CD case comes in a box which has the exact same cover as the case. It's a polaroid of Taylor (well half of her face anyway)

Every album comes with thirteen polaroid pictures of Taylor with  lyrics printed on the bottom. There's a total of sixty-four polaroids out there and you can get 1-13, 14-26 and so on. I got #14 to #26 and mine range from black and white to blurred. I think the polaroids are a really nice touch because it makes the album seem a lot more personal.
There is thirteen tracks on the album. Just in case you are not a Taylor Swift fan, thirteen is her lucky number, hence the repetitive thirteens.
Here is the tracklist:
1. Welcome to New York
2. Blank Space
3. Style
4. Out Of The Woods
5. All You Had To Do Was Stay
6. Shake It Off
7. I Wish You Would
8. Bad Blood
9. Wildest Dreams
10. How You Get The Girl
11. This Love
12. I Know Places
13. Clean

I instantly fell in love with Style. It is an upbeat song written by Taylor, Max Martin, Shellback and Ali Payami. I won't even try do a track-by-track review because I would be here all night and it would go on for pages.

Basically, in this album, Taylor waved goodbye to her country roots and officially broke into pop music. Each track tells a new story with a different beat. I have had the CD for three hours and it has been on repeat since I got into the car. I'm still listening to it now, all cozy in my bed because it's raining outside :(

Taylor, your fifth studio album will definitely be a hit. The music is easy to dance to and the lyrics are so catchy! The only thing that would make this music even better IS TO HEAR IT LIVE. PLEASE BRING THE TOUR TO IRELAND THIS TIME!

Love's a game, wanna play?

Ciara.
