Colourpop

Hey guys!

Last November I ordered some stuff off of Colourpop and seen as they only deliver to America, I had to wait until my uncle was visiting to get my order! I was so excited to get my order and I love everything I bought.

The first thing I bought was Kathleen Light's lippiestix, Lumière. This matte nude is wearable for both day and night looks!

(L-R: Lippiestix, Lippie Pencil)

I also bought their Lippiestix (matte) and the matching pencil (matte) in the shade LBB because I love dark lipsticks and this wine shade is stunning!

The final thing I bought from Colourpop was their Super Shock Shadow in the shade Game Face. I love copper metallics and this shadow is so pigmented! I can't wait to use this eyeshadow.

ShopMissA Haul

Hey guys! It's been a long time. School has just been so hectic over the past month so I didn't have any time to blog. I'm back now and will post as often as possible until my exams in June!

About a month ago I did a massive haul on the American website, ShopMissA. Everything is $1 and they sell makeup, jewellery, nail varnish and hair accessories. The shipping was roughly €7 which isn't too bad.

My order took about three weeks to arrive and there was a mistake in my order but the customer service refunded me after I had notified then so I am pretty happy with my order overall!

(L-R: Mellow Khaki, Winter Waltz, High Shine Top Coat, Cherry Sky, Yogurt Raisins)

I ordered five Kleancolor nail varnishes. Three matte, one scented and a top coat. I've used mellow khaki and yogurt raisins, both of them chipped very easily and yogurt raisins didn't turn matte if I applied a clear base coat. Overall, for $1 I am impressed with these nail varnishes.

(L-R:  Pomegranate, Pink Lemonade, Strawberry)

Who doesn't love a good face mask? I ordered sheet masks because I've never tried a sheet mask before, I have always used cream masks. The pomegranate mask is supposed to be hydrating, I cannot wait to see if it helps my dry skin. The pink lemonade mask helps with breakouts and scarring and the strawberry mask is also hydrating.

I ordered six pairs of lashes, two of each of the styles above, all from Kara Eyelashes. The wispies and demiwispies are just like the Ardell lashes and #523 are fuller, more dramatic lashes that I can't wait to wear on a night out!

I ordered two matte liquid lipsticks, one from Santee and one from Kleancolor. I got the Santee lipstick in the shade 2. Unfortunately this is the item they got wrong, it's a hot pink shade which I don't think I'll wear. I had ordered it in the shade 3, a pale purple shade which I would've loved. The Kleancolor liquid lipstick is in the shade 2 - Cupid. It is a pale purple shade. Both of the lipstick are very pigmented, the Kleancolor one more than the Santee one and the Santee one also takes longer to dry.

I love this American Eyecon baked shadow! I got it in the shade bronze because I am a sucker for metallic eyeshadows! The pigmentation is great and it will last all day with a good primer underneath.

I also got a baked Kleancolor blusher in the shade spring blossom. I haven't used it yet but on first impressions, it is definitely not as purple as it looks! After swatching it, I discovered it was in fact very pink.

I haven't had a chance to open the lip scrub yet but lip scrubs are a staple in my makeup bag anyway.

I bought the e.l.f cover stick in pink lemonade because it reminded me of Nars Orgasm. I haven't swatched it yet but it looks similar!

I got eyelash glue and nail glue as well because it was only $1 and I always need some when I don't have any.

I bought these earrings, rings and anklet for the summer because I thought they were all lovely and screamed summer.

I love everything I got from ShopMissA and will probably be ordering from them again!
Have you ever ordered from ShopMissA?

He Named Me Malala

Malala Yousafza is an eighteen year old Pakistani activist. She was brutally shot in the head when she was fifteen by the Taliban for advocating for girls' education. Miraculously she survived the attack and is now a leading campaigner for girls' education globally as co-founder for the Malala Fund.

I was incredibly moved by this documentary. As I have grown up in Ireland, I have been lucky enough to have been in full-time education from the age of 5. I will be leaving post-primary education this June and will then continue my education in a third-level institution. I have never thought about not being in school because it was never a possibility. Although sometimes I don't want to get out of bed and go to school, I know I would be outraged if my brother could go to school and I was told because I am a girl, I cannot.

From a young age, Malala and her father, Ziauddin have campaigned for girls' right to education. The documentary examines Malala's life both before and after the attack when she was fifteen. Her close relationship with her father is evident and her strength as a young woman undeniable. It also gives a unique insight into her home life, portraying Malala as any normal eighteen year old as well as an extraordinary woman who has changed the lives of countless young woman worldwide.

There are more than 60 million girls who are out of school internationally right now. Malala and her father are both fighting for these girls' right to education through the Malala Fund. Her impassioned speeches at the United Nations and her sheer drive for girls worldwide show why she received the Nobel Peace Prize at the tender age of seventeen.

The television premiere for He Named Me Malala will be on the National Geographic Channel on Monday February 29th at 8/7c and on Tuesday March 1st at 9pm in the UK.

To show your support for Malala and to contribute to the campaign to raise awareness for girls' education, tweet using the hashtag  #withMalala. For every tweet sent out using the hashtag, 21st Century Fox will donate $1 to the Malala Fund, for a total donation of up to $50,000.

Malala is no doubt an extraordinary young woman and her story has power to move millions of people. Be sure to tune into the premiere of the documentary.

Ciara,

xoxo.

My Current Faves!

Hey guys!

So this week is the first week I've worn makeup in a while and I have fallen in love with some products I've used before and some I just fell out of love with.

This little guy is the Tea Tree Toner Tab from Lush. It is fantastic. All you do is drop it into a bowl hot water (boil some and leave it cool for a few minutes), put a towel over your head and place your head over the hot water. It does wonders for your skin and having dry skin, I can definitely see my skin isn't as dry after.

For only €1.50, you'd be mad not to try this!

I love Rimmel's Apocalips but this week was my first time trying their matte range. I have had the shade Atomic Rose for a while now but I never got around to using it. Although it seems nude in the tube, it has more of an orange undertone on my skin and lips. The velvety smoothness of this liquid lipstick is fabulous and I love how long it lasts!

Rimmel Apocalips is €8.49 in Boots.

Inglot's eyeliner gels are fab and I bought one in the shade 88 back in December because I wanted to try some graphic liner looks. It is such a pretty cyan shade and you can easily work this liner into a day looks. The pigmentation is great and it's long lasting as well!

The AMC Eyeliner Gel in shade 88 is no longer available online but it may be in store for €15.

I am so glad I picked this eyeshadow up in London last summer! I have created so many winter looks using this eyeshadow and the colour is just fantastic! Who doesn't love a little merlot in their life? I have the shade Diva and it has an intense colour payoff as well as lasting all day!

The Makeup Store Microshadows can be bought from their website and range between €15 and €18.

Makeup Revolution's Goddess of Love highlighter has been my go-to highlighter recently. It has a beautiful iridescent glow that catches the light perfectly. I love the quality of Makeup Revolution's products and this highlighter is no different!

Goddess of Love is available from Makeup Revolution's website for €6.95

Tan Organic's self tanning oil is the best fake tan I have ever used. Although the smell when it's developing can be quite potent, it provides a streak-free, real-looking tan without fail every time. I always find myself stocking up with a new bottle!

Tan Organic's self tanning oil is available from all good pharmacies for €24.99

I've been using KIKO's infinity eyeshadow in shade 294 on the inner corner of my eye for the last few days and I love it. It catches the light really well and really opens up my eye!

KIKO's infinity shadows are available from their website for €2.40

Benefit's Coralista is a warm coral-pink blusher. I love it so much. The rose gold shimmer is to die for and it goes perfectly with the Goddess of Love highlighter.

Coralista is available from Brown Thomas for €34.

My Valentines Day Look

Hey guys!

The mocks are over so I can finally post again! I hope the mocks went well for everyone who was doing them over the past few weeks. Yesterday was Valentines Day so I decided I would show you guys what I used for my makeup. If you follow me on Snapchat, you'll have seen the completed look!

I got my Inglot Freedom System palette for Christmas two years ago and I still love it! Yesterday I used 134 in my crease (the middle one) and 393 (first on the left) as my highlight. 393 is my favourite highlight for my brow bone and inner corner, it is such a stunning shade! The pigmentation is fab and I don't think I've ever heard anyone complain about Inglot!

Fuschia is an Irish makeup brand and I used their Dramatise palette yesterday. I used the copper shade (third in from the left) all over my lid and the more cool toned brown (fourth in from the left) on the outer v of my eyelid.

It wouldn't be Valentines Day without some lashes! Ardell's Demi Wispies are my favourite lashes but yesterday I decided to go for some more voluminous lashes. Tanya Burr's Girls Night Out lashes are such a dream to wear! I didn't have to trim them and they're super lightweight.

I bought two of these blenders from Fuschia back in October at the Pro Beauty Show and I love them. It provides a streak-free application and it's pink, what's not to love?

These nails, I am in love! I'm already a huge fan of Penney's nails and when they brought out almond shaped nails I kinda bought a lot! I wore a nude nail with pink glitter tips on Valentines Day. Most of the almond-shaped nails in Penneys are only €1.50!

I hope everyone had a lovely Valentines Day!
What did you get up to?

Ciara,

January Favourites

Hey guys it's Alison again. It's the start of a new month, which means it's time for my January favourites.

Both myself and Ciara got the NARS Glossybox back in November and ever since then I have been loving everything in it! I would have to say my favourite thing is definitely the blush, Orgasm. I love this blush because it is the perfect peachy pink with a slight shimmer that is sure to brighten up your cheeks. I have been reaching for this blush any time that I wear makeup, a sure sign I am absolutely in love with it!

The full sized version costs €30 and is available in Brown Thomas stores.

Recently, I've been reaching for my old favourite foundation. The Revlon Colourstay foundation has to be my holy grail foundation because of the longevity and colour selection available. I have the combination/oily skin formula, but it's also available in the dry skin formula. The palest shade is perfect for the Irish skin tone, I mean we all know how hard it is to find pale foundations in the drugstore!

This foundation costs €17.79 in Boots.

One of my favourite eye looks to do is a smoky eye. I find myself reaching for more cool toned eyeshadows nowadays and the MAC eyeshadow in Quarry is perfect for this. It definitely has to be a staple for me in doing a cool-toned smoky eye. I have the pan version which only costs €10 in Brown Thomas. I find that MAC eyeshadows are very pigmented and blend really well, which is why I adore this eyeshadow.

To go along with a smoky eye, you need the perfect blending brush to pull off a seamless look. The best brush that I have found for this so far, is the No7 Eye Contour brush. Brushes are one of those things that can get quite expensive but the No7 brushes are definitely one of my favourites from the drugstore. This brush to me is comparable to the 217 from MAC but obviously it is a fraction of the price at only €11 and is available in Boots currently under a 3 for 2 offer.

The key to finishing off any makeup look is lipstick. Once again lipsticks can get quite expensive, but one place that I always look is Penneys. Penneys and Dunnes Stores stock a relatively inexpensive brand from the US called Wet 'n' Wild. This is where one of my favourite lipsticks comes from. I have the MegaLast Lipstick in the shade Bare It All, as nude shades are my favourite to wear on an everyday basis. The formula of this lipstick sone of my favourites because it is a semi matte cream formula which lasts quite a while on my lips and is definitely worth the minimal price that you pay for it!

I got this lipstick for €2.99 in Penneys.

What were your January favourites?

Planner Sticker Haul

Since getting my planner in October, I have become very organised, partly due to the fact that the Erin Condren planner is so pretty! The only way I thought I could spruce it up a bit was to get some stickers. I came across ThisWeeksPretty on Instagram, and followed them because of their amazing stickers. I finally decided to order from them on Etsy and I received my package at the start of this week.

Heather, the owner of the shop, included a 'Thank You' card in my order which was such a nice thing to do. It adds a lovely personal touch to any order!

Samplers are one of my favourite things to receive from a shop because it gives me a taste of what the other stickers in their shop are like. I love this sampler because of the cute penguins. I mean who doesn't love some small, cute penguins! If you saw Ciara's snapchat the other day, you'll know that she is obsessed with how cute the kissing penguins are!

The kit that I ordered was the full Rustic Romance kit, which I thought would be perfect for the first week of February. In my opinion, the kit has the perfect amount of stickers for the way I plan out my weeks. The quality of the sticker paper is just perfect and there isn't anything I would change about it at all. The matte stickers are easily removable if any mistake is made immediately after putting it down, which is a bonus. The full box patterned stickers definitely have to be one of my favourite prints that I have seen in some time!

This is what my full week spread looks like completed without anything written on the stickers. Definitely one of my favourite sticker spreads that I have ever done.

In my order, I also decided to get another set of date cover ups that I thought would be perfect for the week of Valentines Day.

The customer service with ThisWeeksPretty is definitely one that I have never come across before. I was concerned that my order was stuck in the mail and I immediately messaged them with my concern and I got a message back quite quickly.

The day that I received my order, I messaged to say that I had received it that morning. Heather got back to me and said that I was their first ever Irish customer and because she would like to change this, she gave me a coupon code that is good for 50% off any order going to Ireland until the 26th of February. The code is IRISHGIRLS50.

I know that I will definitely be ordering from Heather again, so if there are any other planner enthusiasts in Ireland who would like to get some stickers for their planner, I would highly recommend ThisWeeksPretty on Etsy. Thank you so much to Heather and Lou from ThisWeeksPretty for my lovely order and I look forward to getting more stickers. Links for the Instagram and Etsy shop will be below.

Any Irish planner girls out there who are obsessed with these cute stickers?
Any other Etsy sticker shops I should look for?
Anybody want a picture of the spread at the end of the week?
