Going Out Makeup

I'm miss midterm already. When can I go out again?
Here's one of my favourite looks from going out over midterm!

Products Used:
* Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation €9.99
* Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer €5.49
* Sleek Face Form Contour Kit €12.99
* Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder €5.99
* MUA Mosaic Blusher (English Rose) €3.40
* MAC Mineralize Skinfinish (Lightscapade) €30
* Benefit Hoola €34
* MUA Pro-base Eye Primer €3.38
* Maybelline Expression Color Tattoo 24hr Eyeshadow (Eternal Silver) €7.49
* Catrice Made To Stay Eyeshadow (070 Mauvie Star) €3.99
L'OrĂ©al Paris Super Liner €9.99
* Rimmel Lash Accelerator Endless Mascara €9.99
* Wet N' Wild Brow Kit €3.99
* Rimmel 1000 Kisses Lipliner (050 Tiramisu) €4.49
* MAC Lipstick (Kinda Sexy) €19.50

I used the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge (€5.89) to blend my foundation and concealer. I love the sponge so much, it is just amazing!

For my eyes, I used the Maybelline Color Tattoo all over my lid and blended the Catrice Eyeshadow into the crease and on my outer lid. I also used the MAC Highlighter below my brow bone and in the corner of my eye.

If you find using liquid eyeliner awkward, you can use some sellotape or a piece of paper along the line you wish to create with your eyeliner. This is so much easier to do if you are just starting out using liquid eyeliner!

I decided to do a half-up ponytail and curl all of it. People have asked before if I wear extensions and I do not, I have been growing my hair out for a year and a half now and I plan to cut during the summer.

What makeup do you use on a night out?
Let me know in the comments below.

I will be in England for the next ten days so I do not know how frequent my posts will be (I hope to stick to two posts a week but I do not know if I will be able to!)

Sleek Haul

I love payday! Last month I splurged a little on Sleek after I got paid! Sleek just recently came to Ireland, Boots stock them nationwide and you can buy everything online at www.sleekmakeup.com

The first thing I bought was the Face Form Contour Kit in fair. The shade I bought has a contour powder, highlighter and blush. I have used the Face Contour Kit before and have heard amazing things about Face Form so I cannot wait to try this out!
The Face Form Contour Kit is €12.99 in Boots.

Vamp is matte dark red lipstick that I adore! I have bought this before so I know that it is longlasting and this colour is perfect paired with a natural look. It is essential to use a lip scrub before you use Vamp and lip balm as it can be quite drying!
Vamp is €5.99 in Boots and online.

I love neutral eyeshadows so much! The Oh So Special i-Divine palette has gorgeous pink and brown shades that create the perfect smokey eye! The eyeshadows are really pigmented and the colour pay-off is great.
Oh So Special is €9.99 in Boots.

Rose Gold has to be my favourite Sleek blusher! It is perfect for nights out. The colour pay-off is really good and the gold shimmer within the pink is beautiful. The pigmentation of this blusher is fantastic!
Rose Gold Blusher costs €5.49 in Boots.

When you spend €13 on Sleek in Boots at the moment, you get a free Lethal Length Mascara. I cannot wait to use the mascara as it claims to lengthen your lashes without any clumps or flakes!
Lethal Length Mascara is €8.49 in Boots.

Sleek is such a high quality makeup brand. I have fallen in love with all of the products I bought and cannot wait to buy more!

Have you ever bought any Sleek products?
What is your favourite product?
Let me know in the comments below!

Mini Haul

It's mid-term and I have spent a few days in Limerick. While here, I bought a few bits and bobs at once so I decided to do a mini haul featuring everything I bought in Penneys and Superdrug!

I love Superdrug so much and I only ever go when I'm in Limerick because they only have two stores in Ireland.... A store in Dublin City would be fabulous!
I bought two MUA lipsticks and some pore strips in Superdrug.

MUA is a high-quality makeup brand for amazing prices. You can buy MUA products in Superdrug or online at www.muastore.co.uk

The two lipsticks I bought are from the Lipstick Collection and are €1.35 each (and the quality is just amazing!)

The first one I bought is shade 14 Bare. It is a creamy, pigmented nude colour that is perfect for an everyday look. I haven't used it yet so I don't know how long it will last so I will have a review post up in a few weeks!

The second lipstick I bought was Flamingo. It is an extremely creamy pale pink colour. From the swatch I can tell that the colour pay-off will be amazing! I cannot wait to try out these two lipsticks.

The cutest thing about the MUA lipsticks is that there is a little tester pot in the base of each lipstick!
Pore strip are a makeup bag must have! I like to use them at least once a week and they are better than any cleanser I have ever used! All you have to do is make sure your nose is clean and thoroughly wet your nose. Dry your hands and remove the strip from the plastic liner placing the smooth side down on your nose. I leave the strip on until it feels stiff to touch. Then you gently peel it off and voila! I have used these pore strips before and they are fantastic!
These cost €2.50 in Superdrug.
The next store I got a few things in was Penneys.

The first thing I picked up was this cute little trio of necklaces. Layering jewellery is in this season and I fell in love with the gem pendant necklace as soon as I saw it!
I cannot wait to pair these necklaces with some pastels for spring!
These precious necklaces cost €3.

Chokers are definitely becoming a staple piece in every girls' wardrobe. I find they stretch easily so I love having some on hand. The ones I bought were only €1.50 for two so how can I complain?

The final item in my mini haul are these adorable nails. I love wearing fake nails during school holidays because it's easy to take them off before school starts again. These nails reminded me of Cath Kidston as soon as I saw them, I cannot wait to wear these with some spring florals!

Have you ever tried any other MUA products?
Do you have any you think I should try out?
Let me know in the comments below!

DIY Candle Holders

So I was on pinterest the other night and I came across pictures of tin can candle holders. They were so pretty and I just had to try them out for myself!

You will need:
A tin can
A drill (or a hammer and some nails)
Paint and paint brushes
A paint palette
Paper to cover your work area
A tea light

What to do:
*Drill holes around the outside of your tin can (it can be patterned or random, like I did) using the drill. If you are uncomfortable with using a drill you can use a hammer and some nails.
*Choose your paints, mix colours if you want to!
*Using your brush, paint all over the can and allow to dry. If needed, add another coat after the first coat has dried.
*Add designs onto your tin can if you want, I painted one to use as a stationary holder and added hearts onto it!
*Place a tea light into each can.
*Put them around your room or wherever you want them to go, light the tea light and you're done!

I had so much fun making mine and cannot wait to show everyone my little lanterns when they come into my room!

Have you tried making anything off of Pinterest before?
How did it turn out?
Let me know in the comments below!

Happy Valentines Day everyone!

Tiny Tea Review

So just over two weeks ago, I began my Tiny Tea 'Teatox'. Here's the link to my first post: www.sparkleofpink.blogspot.ie/TinyTea

The tea claimed to reduce bloating, remove toxins. improve energy levels and 'nudge away' and surplus weight.

I tried to drink the tea three times a day, some days I could only have two. That is why my teatox ran over the two weeks!

A day or two after I started to use the tea, I had a breakout. I was expecting this as it was part of the removal of toxins and my skin cleared up soon afterwards. Since then, my skin has remained relatively clear with very little blemishes popping up.

Bloating after meals has definitely reduced. I find it easy to notice and I am so happy about this!

I get up around 7am every morning and sometimes I won't get to sleep until 1 or 2am. I usually get very tired before lunch everyday but my energy levels have increased since beginning my teatox. I still get tired after school each day but I no longer hit my midday slump.

After I used my teabags, I kept some to make a face mask out of them. I mixed two teabags with a small amount of moisturiser in a bowl. I applied the mask to my face and left it on for 5-10 minutes. Using the teabags as a face mask helped keep my skin clear as well!

I loved drinking Tiny Tea and look forward to using it again in the future!
Thanks to the folks at Your Tea for sending me this wonderful tea!
You can get some here at: www.eu.yourtea.com

What did you think of it?

January Favourites

It really doesn't feel like a month has passed at all! January was an amazing month for me, I got back into a routine (although it is boring, I like having to do something each day), I got to try out so many new beauty products, I saw some fabulous movies and it was my sister's birthday!

I loved so many beauty products in January but my favourites have to be the next five products that I absolutely adore!

1. Garnier Moisture Match 'Goodbye Dry'
I literally do not know where I would be without this moisturiser! It is specifically for dry skin and claims to leave your skin hydrated for up to 24 hours. I use this moisturiser twice a day and it is a dream! With dry skin, I find it so hard to find a moisturiser that actually works and since I've been using the Moisture Match, I know I can never go back to my old moisturisers!

If you have dry skin, this will be perfect for you!
You can buy it in Boots for €7.99.

2. Taylor Swift Wonderstruck Body Lotion
Lately I have been applying body lotion after showers or even just using it on my hands in the morning. Taylor Swift Wonderstruck is my favourite perfume, full of vibrant fruit scents and subtle floral scents, it is heavenly! The body lotion has the exact same scent and I love getting random whiffs of it throughout the day. If you haven't used the perfume or body lotion before, I would definitely invest in some soon!

Unfortunately the body lotion only comes in a giftset, I bought mine in Boots, I can't remember how much it was as it came with 50ml of the perfume and was very reasonably priced!

3. Inglot Lipstick in Shade 293
If you've seen my Inglot haul, you'll know I bought this lipstick in my haul. It is a deep berry colour (my weakness) that does not dry out your lips. This lipstick is long lasting which I love and it has such a rich and beautiful colour. I will probably end up wearing it all year, I love it so much!

Inglot Lipstick Shade 293 is available from inglot.ie or in their stores nationwide for €14.

4. Makeup Revolution Iconic 2 Palette
I bought this palette on my trip to London in November and never really used it until this month. I use it every opportunity I get! This palette is a dupe of the Naked 2 palette. I don't like using my Naked palette on a daily basis because of the price so this palette is amazing! I can't see any obvious difference between the two palettes, the Iconic 2 palette is so pigmented and the colour payoff  is so good for the price!

Makeup Revolution do not have a stand in Ireland yet (please come soon!) so you can only order their products online from www.makeuprevolutionstore.com for €5.05.

5. Benefit Porefessional
I got Benefit's Porefessional at the start of the month and I have been in love with it ever since!
It is such a good primer and I have some scarring on my face that is virtually invisible after I use this! It has a lightweight formula so your foundation does not feel any heavier after application. Although it is pricey, this primer is worth the price! It minimises the appearance of pores for an all-over smoother complexion.

Porefessional is available from Benefit beauty bars nationwide for €34.

There you have it, my January 2015 favourites!
Let me know if you have any other favourites you think I should try out in the comments below!
